Aquamarine

Known as the gem of the sea, the name ‘Aquamarine’ comes from the Latin aqua marinus, meaning “water of the sea,” It is popularly known as the birthstone for March.

I’ve incorporated Aquamarine beads into necklaces and bracelets in the Water Element collection

Once believed to be the treasure of mermaids, it was often worn by sailors and travellers as a talisman to protect against being shipwrecked and to ward off sea sickness. It was also considered a stone of eternal youth and happiness.

Aquamarine is also believed to embody all things connected to the sea, as well as those things relating to Heaven reflected on the surface of the water. It becomes a mirror, reflecting itself indefinitely, making it possible to discover hidden meanings of reality.
